Action Packed week: Hollywood Vs Bollywood
No doubt Holywood action, direction and cinematography is way ahead of Indian Cinema. A few things were well proved this week when I saw three action movies. Parents being away from home gave me and my wife a good chance to enjoy our marital freedom and live like lovers instead of married people with responsibilities :p.
Anyways, not deterring from the topic, the action packed movies we saw are Don 2, Mission Impossible 4: Ghost Protocol and Players in the same order. When I saw Don 2 I was like Awww! What a movie. But after watching Misison Impossible, Don 2 looked like child’s play. I was glad I saw Don2 first and could appreciate the effort.
Although Don 2 was not as awesomely action packed as MI4 but still it was one of the world class movies bollywood ever made. Don 2 had the feel, the stardom of a man who is brilliant enough to plan enough in the future and create all win win situations for himself. The colors and direction in overall movie were sharp and impacting enough to give the audience a hangover of stardom and negativity for at least 2 days. I know after watching Don many of young men wanted to be just like him :)
And then I saw MI4. As a fan of Mission Impossible series I did not like the MI4 much but then it still was an awesome treat. The Action, the thrill and what not. But yeah the stardom was way behind that of DON. I would want to be DON rather than being Ethan Hunt :p
And then there is players. Well, I think comparing players with either Don or MI would be a waste of time. Watching this movie gave a feeling that the story is trying to give a good mysterious and thriller end to it. And it somehow succeeded too but Abbas Mastan have a lot to learn. There were a lot of poor directed scene in which Abhishek or Sonam looked so unnatural. But overall a nice attempt.
So, the action packed week ends. DON2 left the greatest impact, MI4 was awww and players was neyyyyy.. :)
